Pricing in Frankfurt is the most aggressive in the German market. A standard Westend business room that lists 160 EUR in a quiet week can reach 650 to 850 EUR during ISH or Light + Building. Hotels routinely impose three to five-night minimum stays and lock cancellation eight weeks out. Booking online four months before a major Frankfurt fair almost guarantees fragmented placement and inflated cost.

The city's geography helps but only if you understand it. Messe Frankfurt occupies the Westend edge, four S-Bahn minutes from Hauptbahnhof and eleven minutes from Frankfurt Airport (FRA). Hotels in the Bahnhofsviertel, Westend and Bockenheim are the operational sweet spot for fair days, while airport-area hotels are best for international arrival and departure days.
